Sold!! ‘Red Gloves’ off to the USA!
I’m thrilled to share that my original watercolor painting, Red Gloves, has found its new home in the USA! This piece was an exploration of power, poise, and timeless fashion. With its dramatic contrast of inky blacks and red accents. The stylized figure, cloaked in mystery and bold elegance, captures that fleeting energy we often see on high-fashion runways—intense and magnetic. The red gloves themselves were a statement, not just in color but in attitude. They command attention, with a hint of vintage glamour. Thank you to the collector who saw something special in Red Gloves. May she bring you as much inspiration as she brought me. With gratitude – Fiona 🙏

Bold, Bright, and Expressive: My Latest Series Inspired by Fauvism
In my most recent work, I’ve taken a dive into vivid colour and intensity, drawing inspiration from Fauvism and inspired by Kees Van Dongen. These new pieces reflect a shift in my practice — away from the muted, introspective tones of past works, and toward a brighter, bolder celebration of femininity, spirit, and style. Like the Fauvists, I’ve chosen to abandon realism in favour of emotional truth. These portraits aren’t about perfect likeness but about evoking a feeling — sometimes fierce, sometimes dreamy, but always vibrant! Part of this new direction was due to limited art supplies while travelling so I was kind of forced to create in a different way. This new…

New Artwork Reveal: “Femme Fatales” – Bold and evocative!
I’m thrilled to share my latest piece, Femme Fatales — a bold, evocative watercolor and acrylic painting that explores the duality of feminine strength and seduction. A lot of my paintings in the past have been in black and white but I decided to rework this piece which was originally in black and white. I chose the brightest and strongest colors I had access to and as was travelling my art supplies were dwindling! The painting is a celebration of feminine complexity and allure.

The Art of Kintsugi and surfboards
Resurrected Boards: Turning Surfboard Scraps into Icons of Art There’s something poetic about rescuing a broken surfboard from the street or a dumpster—discarded, written off—and giving it new life. Much like the Japanese art of kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold to highlight, rather than hide, its imperfections, I transform these fractured surfboards into bold, arresting art pieces that tell a new story. Surfboards are symbols of freedom, nature, and rebellion—qualities that resonate deeply with me and the women who inspire my work. Rather than seeing these damaged boards as trash, I see them as blank canvases for revival. Each board becomes a portal for layered storytelling, tactile reinvention, and the…

Heddy (aka Hedvig Tilly Sørensen)
I was born Hedvig Tilly Sørensen (aka Heddy) in an extremely small town called Toco (aka Shady Grove) Texas. I bet you thought I was going to say somewhere in Scandinavia coolish like Copenhagen, but alas no. My closest city and closest to Europe I had ever been was Paris, Paris Texas, USA. I had been in and out of numerous foster homes my whole life and never knew who my birth parents were until a weird synchronistic chain of events took place. Maybe fate, destiny, not sure, but here in this tiny town of Toco, population 89, one very small school and a weird landmark plane, I was found by a talent…
